Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard the vessel, ensuring the vessel is in all respects prepared for the voyage. This includes conducting regular inspections of machinery and machinery spaces, arranging transfers of fuel, lube oil, and fresh water, and ensuring all planned maintenance and emergency repair work is carried out.

The Technical Rating will also be responsible for ensuring the vessel's stability, stress, trim, and watertight integrity, and will report any deficiencies to the Master and Maintenance Superintendent.

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to conduct safety drills and training to ensure the highest operation standard of the vessel at all times.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a good command of English. Essential qualifications include ENG 1, Sea Survival Course, and Basic Fire Fighting. Desirable qualifications include ATV AEC 1 & 2, RSC AEC 1, and knowledge of the technical operation of the installations of designated equipment.

The successful candidate will also be required to have a full driving licence, 3 years UK residency, and a current passport.
