Job Description

At Arm, we are seeking a skilled Subsystem Verification and Testing Engineer to join our Systems Development team. This team creates subsystems and SoC designs for various application segments, utilizing the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors.

As a Subsystem Verification and Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying and testing sophisticated IP, such as CPUGPUDSP processors with memory controllers and interconnect fabrics. Your goal will be to ensure that these products work effectively with each other and the software, enabling our partners to produce outstanding systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing test plans, defining test methodologies, and completing functional verification to the required quality levels and schedules
  • Collaborating with project management and leads on planning tasks, setting schedules, and quality checkpoints
  • Working with engineers from other teams, including architecture, design, implementation, modeling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA, and board development
  • Mentoring junior members and contributing to the growth of the team
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience with embedded C++ based SoC verification environments
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably ARM) and hardware verification languages, such as SystemVerilog
  • Experience with shell programming and scripting languages, such as Tcl, Perl, and Python
  • Proficiency in one or more verification methodologies, including UVM, formal, low power, and emulation
  • Understanding of all stages of verification, from requirements collection to testbench implementation and test case development
  • Practical experience in verifying processor-based system designs
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to different audiences
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of Arm system architectures
  • Experience with power-aware and clock domain crossing implementation
  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor, and embedded system hardware architectures
  • Experience verifying subsystems for PCIe, LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, and Ethernet
  • Development and deployment of large SoCs on emulation platforms
