About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our existing team of nine Consultants in Gastroenterology to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of Gastroenterology and Hepatology services within the Trust.
  • Participate in audit and clinical governance activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Provide training and teaching to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • Entry on the Specialist Register for G(I)M and Gastroenterology or within six months of CCT.
  • Recent experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate proactive and self-motivated behavior.
