Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our Business Services team at Northumbria Police. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our operational police station in Berwick.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens
  • Vacuum and mop floors
  • Operate floor machines, including floor scrubbers and dryers
  • Empty bins and perform general cleaning duties
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and comply with cleaning safety standards
  • Work at height and perform physical tasks

Requirements:

  • A willingness to learn and take pride in your work
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • A reasonable level of fitness and punctuality
