About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's successful team in Ashford, Kent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping support, preparing management accounts, and delivering other services to a mixed and varied client base across Kent and the South East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Preparation: Prepare financial data up to trial balance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Double-Entry Bookkeeping: Perform double-entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepayments and Accruals: Accurately record and manage prepayments and accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of management accounts, providing valuable insights and analysis to the management team.
Requirements
  • AAT Qualification: Hold a recognized AAT qualification, either through studying or experience.
  • Software Experience: Possess strong Xero or QuickBooks software experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Excel Skills: Demonstrate good knowledge of Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
  • Time Management: Possess the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.
