We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.
Job SummaryThis is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program. You will work on average 38 hours per week, with a 2 days on and 4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. You will also be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care and support to young people with challenging behavior
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and supportive living environment
- Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the needs of each young person
- Engage and motivate young people to participate in activities and achieve their goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress and well-being
- Full manual driving license
- Ability to work on own initiative and maintain clear, neat records
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Empathetic nature and ability to engage with young people
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience of working with young people
- Willingness to work towards a fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People
