Principal Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team in Hampshire. As a key member of our consultancy, you will lead innovative projects and contribute to sustainable solutions in the civil engineering sector.

You will work on a diverse range of projects, from urban developments to large-scale infrastructure, ensuring that solutions not only meet regulatory requirements but also protect our communities from flood risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage drainage and flood risk assessments for various projects.
  2. Provide expert advice on sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  4. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation.
  5. Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in drainage design and flood risk management.
  3. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  4. Excellent communication and project management skills.
  5. A passion for sustainable engineering solutions.
