Exciting Opportunity for a Graduate Geothermal Engineer

Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting services with experts across a wide variety of disciplines. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious graduate geothermal engineer to join our successful groundwater and geothermal business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the design, procurement, supervision, and management of groundwater and geothermal investigations.
  • Undertake desktop studies, feasibilities, and assessments.
  • Conduct sub-surface surveys, monitoring, testing, and assessment works.
  • Accurately collect and analyze site data to support modeling and assessment works.
  • Assist our Principal Geothermal Engineer with geothermal system design and modeling.
  • Produce detailed reports, progressing to interpretative.
Requirements:
  • A first degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science, or a related subject.
  • A higher degree (Master's or PhD) in geothermal energy, green energy, or hydrogeology.
  • The enthusiasm and determination to learn and progress within the fields of groundwater and geothermal.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create, manage, and analyze information.
  • Strong analytical, written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Preferable to have relevant work experience, e.g., a work placement.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • A full clean driving license.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in groundwater and geothermal energy to support the feasibility, investigation, testing, procurement, and implementation of new water supply and geothermal energy systems.

The candidate will be based out of one of our UK or Irish offices and will have the opportunity to work on hydrogeological and geothermal projects in Great Britain and Ireland, as well as internationally.
