Speech and Language Therapist

Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our collaborative team in Chelmsford. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children and young people, supporting their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' communication needs and develop personalized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments that cater to students' diverse needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on improving their communication skills and confidence.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure that students' therapy needs are met in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration and RCSLT compliance are essential.
  • Experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, particularly in educational settings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, and professionals.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
