Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aurora Cedars School in Wolverhampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our children with their learning and wellbeing, ensuring every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children with their learning and general wellbeing
  • Assist with care needs and positive behaviour management
  • Establish a warm and supportive relationship with pupils
  • Contribute to providing high-quality educational activities and experiences
  • Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEN in an employed or voluntary setting
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car desirable
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification is essential
  • A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Support work for Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent is desirable
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Ability to adapt and be positive and creative in assisting to meet pupils' individual needs
