Job Description

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in delivering a next-generation Electronic Warfare (EW), Radar, or UAS solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the solution meets the customer's operational needs and requirements.
  • Manage and formalize requirements through a robust requirements management process.
  • Assemble and integrate solution elements to evaluate design, behavior, interactions, and performance.
  • Develop and formalize specifications and engineering plans for solution development.
  • Support and undertake Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification (IVVQ) activities.
  • Conduct trade-off analysis, modeling, and simulation to optimize solution performance.
  • Develop and maintain SE and IVVQ-related documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of Systems Architecture and/or Systems Engineering Management.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of System Engineering and System Engineering Processes and Practices.
  • Ability to work with combinations of technologies and integrate them into a system to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Eligibility to be security cleared to SC.
Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a Numerate, Scientific, or Engineering subject or equivalent training and experience.
  • Proven experience in requirements management using DOORS.
  • Proven experience working in and/or leading a team undergoing IVVQ of a solution/product.
  • Practical experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.
  • Practical experience of Architecture Frameworks (MODAF, DODAF, TOGAF, etc.).
  • Detailed working knowledge of the engineering lifecycle, from concept design to system integration and test strategies.
