Department Head for Geography

A competitive salary of £43,689 - £60,488 per annum, plus TLR 1 (up to £10,000), is on offer for this challenging and rewarding role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Geography department at an Outstanding School in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving student outcomes and have a deep understanding of the National Curriculum and public examination specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve student progress and achievement in Geography
- Lead and manage a team of Geography teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Maintain and develop a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social mobility and academic excellence
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to develop and implement initiatives that drive improvement and innovation
