ICT Category Strategist

The NDA is seeking an experienced ICT Category Manager to join their team, focusing on procuring new technology arrangements across the Operating Companies in line with OneNDA strategy.

This role involves working with stakeholders to leverage and procure new technology arrangements, managing risk, and extracting the best value from ICT Category procurement activity.

Key responsibilities include developing effective strategies for long-term strategic direction, identifying collaborative opportunities across the group, and promoting NDA Category Management across the group.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the public sector or relevant experience in Hardware, Software, Voice and Data, Cyber, and Outsourced Services arrangements.

They will also have a strong understanding of government frameworks, a familiarity with key tier one suppliers, and excellent communication and influencing skills.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement effective category strategies to deliver business value
• Manage risk and ensure compliance with NDA policies and procedures
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Provide thought leadership on category management best practices

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

• Possess an ADC Grade A or B at Commercial Specialist / Associate Commercial Specialist
• Experience of OJEU procurement activity or procurement activity in a similarly complex and regulated environment
• Experience in developing complex procurement strategies and/or category strategies
• Accountable for the successful delivery of complex procurements with associated governance and assurance
