Job Summary

Pod Talent is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to lead our transportation operations function across the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of transport planners, managing relationships with external service providers, and driving strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transportation operations function, overseeing a team of transport planners and managing relationships with external service providers.
  • Optimize warehouse capacity planning to ensure efficient use of space and alignment with inventory plans across various planning horizons.
  • Drive cost-to-serve analysis and lead the budgetary planning and forecasting for logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, optimize storage layouts, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with site operations, customer service, and logistics service providers to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve operational excellence.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to transform warehousing infrastructure and improve logistics processes, supporting the company's strategic growth plans.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain, transportation planning, and logistics management, including experience with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset and experience in capacity planning within the S&OP framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP (or similar) and transportation management systems; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Six Sigma, CILT, CIPS, or APICS are advantageous, but not required.
