Job Description:

About AutoScan UK Ltd, a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry.

We are currently looking for an experienced Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer to join our team at one of our prestigious client sites in Crewe, Cheshire.

Your focus will be on product quality maturation up to part approval, APQP & PPAP sign-off activities, and monitoring supplier timing plan slippages to the manufacturing and engineering teams.

You will be required to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an automotive manufacturing OEM or first-tier supply chain environment.

A good understanding of the automotive manufacturing process, quality documentation, and procedures is essential. A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum is offered based on experience and qualifications.

The role will be on an interim basis, with an expected duration of between 3 and 6 months. You will have the opportunity to work closely with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational knowledge of quality systems, tools, and techniques including: APQP/PPAP/8D/Six Sigma/problem solving/Process capability/Process auditing quality.
  • Develop quality planning within categorised suppliers.

Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a field such as Engineering or Quality Management
- Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Strong understanding of quality documentation and procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
