Job Title: Literacy Support Assistant

Estimated Salary: £12,000 - £14,000 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Literacy Support Assistant. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and social needs of our residents.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for visiting our residents in their homes, engaging them in conversation, and reading aloud from newspapers or books. This rewarding role requires someone who is kind, friendly, and able to build strong relationships with vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide companionship and emotional support to our residents
  • To read aloud from newspapers or books to enhance their mental stimulation and engagement
  • To maintain accurate records of visits and interactions

Requirements:

  • Able to commit to regular visits to our residents in their homes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient and understanding nature
