Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in accordance with the school curriculum, promoting student participation and active learning.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and encourages critical thinking skills.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary to ensure students meet their full potential.
  • Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, staying updated with educational best practices and contributing to a culture of ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Geography.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Geography at the primary or secondary education level.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
