Aspens Services Ltd is a leading contract catering company specializing in school food. We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team and lead our school catering facilities in delivering exceptional food and service to our students and staff.

The successful candidate will have full operational and financial responsibility for the catering facility, focusing on delivering high-quality food and service while driving sales through promotions and added value events.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional food and service, with a strong background in kitchen management, financial management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • Manage catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
  • Ensure consistency of food and service standards
  • Drive sales through promotions and added value events
  • Manage and improve controllable costs
  • Oversee menu development and implementation
  • Maintain company systems and procedures
  • Carry out regular audits to ensure standards are being met
Requirements
  • OND or HND qualified (desirable)
  • Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
  • Line management experience
  • Experience within a similar environment
