About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Care Rehabilitation Specialist to join our Specialist Surgery Rehabilitation team based at the Royal Devon & Exeter main site (Wonford).

The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of skilled Physiotherapists to support the rehabilitation provided to patients following admission to hospital.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping patients who have undergone surgery to regain their mobility, function, and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing therapeutic interventions, treatments, and exercise programmes to patients.
  • Liaising with patients and family/carers in discharge planning and prevention of falls.
  • Identifying and supporting the physical limitations of a patient's disability and their functional problems.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy).
  • Experience in rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
