Audit and Accounts Associate Role

Cathedral Appointments Ltd is seeking a skilled Audit and Accounts Associate to join their team in Exeter. As an Audit and Accounts Associate, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing a comprehensive system for recording, filing, and monitoring to efficiently track job completion, work progress, and billing requirements.

The role offers hybrid working with regular access to the Exeter office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and corporation tax returns for limited companies and charities and undertake all stages of Companies Act audits.
  • Supervise and direct the audit team, ensuring efficient and timely completion of assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and systems recording.
  • Prepare and communicate audit-related letters and reports, addressing pertinent matters for both internal and external users.

Requirements:

  • AAT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT Level 4 studying
  • Ideally you will have statutory audit experience, gained in a practice environment
  • You will be able to work to deadlines and within limited response times
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
