Babcock International Group is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join our team at the Babcock Technology Centre site. As a Senior Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational capability of the nation's nuclear submarine fleet and the continuous nuclear deterrent.

The Role

As a Senior Safety Engineer, you will lead on the delivery of safety engineering tasks within our Submarine Support Engineering group. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe operation of our nuclear submarine fleet, working closely with our engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the delivery of safety engineering tasks, working closely with our engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

• Collaborate with our engineering teams to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

• Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety procedures, protocols, and reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in safety engineering, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
