Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and resilient Specialist SEMH Support Worker to join their team in Ellesmere Port.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

As a Specialist SEMH Support Worker, you will work closely with students displaying challenging behaviour, providing support and guidance to help them overcome their difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Developing and implementing behaviour plans to support students
  • Working collaboratively with the education team to ensure seamless student support

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
