Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Governance Lead to join our team at Michael Page (UK).

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead the development and implementation of procurement governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

The successful candidate will have experience in the public sector, preferably within the NHS, and hold CIPS Level 4 or higher. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £49,500 and £55,000 per year, with potential for a 10% annual bonus.

Job Description
  • Establish and manage procurement governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Support Category Managers with Audit & Governance responsibilities and future audits.
  • Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee tendering and contract management processes to ensure value for money.
  • Train and guide procurement staff on governance processes to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve procurement policies and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in procurement practices.
Requirements
  • CIPS Level 4 or higher.
  • Experience in the public sector, preferably within the NHS.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement regulations and standards including the new Procurement Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
