Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading the safe and effective execution of production activities across our product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production department, ensuring adherence to our strategy, governance framework, systems, processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Direct management of the production team, including budgeting and resourcing to meet business objectives.
  • Responsible for the overall administration and creation of Work Orders using our MRP system (G2) and planning and reporting functions for product supply and major projects.
  • Ensure the cost of manufacturing is within allocated budgets and all product deliverables are completed as per assigned schedules.
  • Maintain departmental reports, including production schedules, resource and capacity planning, performance reporting, and corrective action status.
  • Maximise best use of the ERP system by maintaining an efficient production control department, providing work instructions, certification, and traceability records.
  • Champion continuous improvement within the department, driving a Lean culture and performance, supported by robust performance monitoring.
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to ensure sustainable, competitive, innovative, timely, and compliant supply chain inputs to our products.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure production outputs drive cost-competitive solutions using advanced manufacturing methods.
  • Ensure health, safety, environment, sustainability, and security objectives are achieved, with direct responsibility for the safety of the production team and the safe assembly, validation, and certification of our products.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, supported by Legal & Compliance and HSEQS departments.

What You Need

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent qualification.
  • High-level leadership and management experience.
  • Lean training is desirable but not essential.
  • Prior experience as a Production Manager.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems (G2).
  • Experience in risk and mitigation management.
  • Experience in the Subsea, Defence, or Maritime sector (desirable).
  • Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies.
  • Strong Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Excellent communications skills and capacity to communicate effectively at all levels and with international clients and stakeholders.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a Group Personal Pension Scheme up to 7.5%, Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, hybrid working, and early finish on Fridays.
