Job Title: Psychology Graduate - Learning Support Assistant

Academics is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a primary school setting.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for working with children and supporting their development. As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers to provide assistance to students with diverse needs, leveraging your background in psychology to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing individualized support to students.
  • Assist students or small groups with their learning, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering relationships with students and promoting their well-being and confidence.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of effective learning strategies.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
