About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to join our leadership team as an Area Senior Educational Psychologist (ASEP) in Hampshire Educational Psychology (HEP).

HEP is a large, thriving service with a positive national profile, and currently includes 68 EPs, 8 SEPs, 4 ASEPs and 1 PEP organised across 4 area teams. Our service is proud of its collaborative, supportive and creative leadership team, and we are looking forward to welcoming a new member who will contribute to our success.

We provide the educational psychology statutory duties for children and young people across Hampshire, and we have a strong trading relationship with over 550 schools, academies and colleges. Our service is committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our clients, and we are looking for a Senior Educational Psychologist who shares our values and vision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Psychologists in the East Area Team, which covers Hart, Rushmoor and East Hampshire. They will work closely with their two SEPs and be part of the HEP Leadership Team (HLT). The role will also involve working with a peer group of ASEPs, a business manager and data analyst.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified Educational Psychologist with successful experience as a practicing Psychologist in a Local Authority EPS, working across the age-range 0-25 years. You will also need to have experience in managing professionals, leading and delivering multiple projects, and traveling to various locations within Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Psychologists in the East Area Team
  • Work closely with SEPs and be part of the HEP Leadership Team
  • Contribute to the development of the service and ensure high-quality delivery
  • Manage professionals and lead multiple projects
  • Travel to various locations within Hampshire

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Educational Psychologist
  • Successful experience as a practicing Psychologist in a Local Authority EPS
  • Experience in managing professionals and leading multiple projects
  • Current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle
