Job Purpose:The Gear Technician is responsible for grinding gear teeth to specification, ensuring that all tasks meet quality standards and are completed within allocated time frames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines to grind gear teeth according to technical drawings.
- Write and interpret instructions and procedures for accurate assembly.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment, materials, and products.
- Control machines and processes during the gear grinding operation.
- Support 5S activities and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the rail or automotive industry.
- Experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines is advantageous.
