We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our Wellness Team at Anchor Hanover. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering fitness and movement classes in our Fitness Studio, undertaking gym inductions and gym maintenance checks, and providing general fitness, movement, and lifestyle advice to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver fitness and movement classes in our Fitness Studio
  • Undertake gym inductions and gym maintenance checks
  • Provide general fitness, movement, and lifestyle advice to our residents
  • Routine daily swimming pool water sample tests
  • Cleaning and admin duties within the Wellness Centre
  • Plan and facilitate stimulating activities & events, promoting independence and choice
  • Compliance with internal and external Health and Safety protocols
  • Liaise with other staff in the Village and outside contractors

Requirements:

  • Level 2 recognised Fitness Qualification e.g. Gym instructor, Exercise to Music, Chair based Exercise etc
  • Ability to Swim

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 recognised Personal Trainer qualification OR advanced Fitness Instructor
  • Specialised fitness qualifications e.g. GP Referral, Older Adults, Back Pain, Diabetes, Rehabilitation, Chair based Exercise
  • Experience of working with older people
  • First Aid Certification
  • Group Exercise Qualification e.g. Exercise to Music, Aqua, Yoga, Pilates
  • Pool Plant Qualification
  • Emergency Pool Responder or other Lifesaving qualification
