Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Treasury Analyst to join their EMEA Treasury team in London. This role focuses on critical global regulatory areas such as Liquidity Risk Management and Liquidity Stress Testing. As part of this role, you'll play a crucial part in assessing liquidity adequacy, managing recovery plans, and enhancing interest rate risk management.

This position offers exposure to capital planning, balance sheet management, and collaboration with international business lines. Plus, cross-training opportunities will pave the way for career growth.

The scope of the role is focused on Wells Fargo legal entities across the EMEA platform. It is an opportunity to build on prior experience gained in Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, Business Analytics, Finance or Middle Office roles to gain broad experience of two key topics of global regulatory focus; specifically, Liquidity Risk Management and Liquidity Stress Testing.

The primary role is to support how the bank deploys its Liquidity and assesses liquidity adequacy. Key Responsibilities:
  • Scope and plan the delivery of the ILAAP and Liquidity components of ICARA.
  • Review and challenge submissions from the contributors to ensure overarching consistency and messaging throughout the ILAAP and the ICARA.
  • Challenge risk identification and materiality assessment.
  • Manage the oversight of stress testing including the challenge of all Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 liquidity calculations.
  • Manage the master documents and tracking changes and updates in a controlled manner.
  • Participate in the various scenario definition exercises.
  • Perform the respective Liquidity stress testing and reverse stress testing exercises.
  • Be responsible for reporting and monitoring of liquidity risks on a daily and monthly basis according to prescribed Liquidity Risk Policies.
  • Review and oversight of all liquidity stress testing results production processes.
  • Produce periodic liquidity risk reporting for senior management and governance forums relating to liquidity requirements and ILAAP planning, and to support financial and regulatory disclosures.
  • Bring suggestions to Senior Management on how to optimise liquidity in accordance with regulatory constraints.
  • Have the ability to partner with business lines, finance, risk model review as and when required.
  • Provide team with updates on regulatory developments in the UK, EU and US and the impact on Liquidity and Stress Testing.
  • Coordinate Treasury initiatives that require engagement with multiple stakeholders across multiple teams and businesses.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Treasury, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ideally post graduate qualified or degree educated in a relevant subject (Financial Services or Sciences preferred).
  • Experience in financial institutions Treasury, Accounting or Risk functions.
  • Familiarity with a broad array of financial market products including, but not limited to, foreign exchange, interest rates and repo/reverse repo.
  • Knowledge of the MIFIDPRU, LCR, NSFR and, EMEA regulations around Liquidity and Capital CRR/CRD and EBA Guidelines.
  • Excellent numeracy and, modelling and analytical skills.
  • VBA, SQL and Alteryx experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
  • A proven track record of delivering successfully to demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work as part of a team or on individually on tasks with minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Honesty and integrity in all aspects of their work.
