Health and Safety Manager
About the Role

This is a specialist and technical role within a well-established Freight-Forward company. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to make the role their own and work on varied projects. The company offers a chance to work with a variety of different industries, through land, sea and air.

The role involves working primarily autonomously, undertaking site visits around the UK, mainly in the South of Wales, to conduct health and safety inspections and audits, accident investigations and risk assessments. The successful candidate will be responsible for continual compliance to regulation and industry standards, as well as working closely with contract managers, site teams and the senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site visits to conduct health and safety audits and inspections
- Review and update existing risk assessment procedures
- Monitor and evaluate safety protocols
- Work with contract managers, site teams and senior leadership
- Visit sites across the UK, mainly in South Wales

Requirements

- Health and Safety Manager or similar
- Logistics background
- IOSH / NEBOSH or similar qualification
- Based in Pencoed, with regular travel to sites
