Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Construction Specialist to join our Multi-Asset Team in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining segment model portfolios that meet client objectives and reflect our portfolio construction principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the implementation of Global Reference Portfolios in the UK and European region, working closely with regional stakeholders and other teams to develop and maintain segment model portfolios.
  • Act as a first point of contact for technical queries on Portfolio Construction topics, providing expert advice and guidance to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain risk/performance factsheets and dashboards for Global Reference Portfolios, supporting decision-making and evidence-based portfolio construction.
  • Collaborate with analysts in the Multi-Asset Team and other Mercer teams on portfolio analytics, ensuring our intellectual capital and Global Reference Portfolios are consistently reflected in our portfolio construction principles.
  • Present ideas and proposals to the Global Asset Allocation Committee for approval, demonstrating your expertise and thought leadership in portfolio construction.

Requirements:

  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CFA and/or strong interest in financial markets, investing, portfolio construction theory, and macroeconomics.
  • Sufficient years' experience in a portfolio construction, investment specialist, asset allocation, or similar role.
  • Python coding skills and/or experience with investment risk analytics systems.
