About the Role

Worcestershire Children First is seeking an experienced Education Engagement Officer to join our Education Engagement Team. As an Education Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team in ensuring that children and young people receive a good education and are protected from harm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Education Absence Monitoring Officers in identifying children who are unable to attend school due to exclusion, medical needs, or other reasons.
  • Monitor the participation of the Post 16 cohort and provide careers advice and guidance to the NEET group.
  • Identify children missing education or elective home education and provide support to ensure they receive a suitable education.
  • Work with Local Area partners, educational providers, and colleagues across WCF to improve outcomes for Vulnerable Learners.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge or awareness of legislation and guidance relating to attendance and CME.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Education Absence Monitoring Officers and other services to ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
