Job DescriptionAs a Senior Software Engineer, UI Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing core features of the Roku OS, including embedded UI framework development and system stability improvements
- Working closely with system architects to develop new features and extend current ones
- Collaborating with the Data Engineering team to improve data quality and implement safeguards against system failures
You'll work on high-impact projects that directly affect millions of users every day. Your expertise will help us shape the future of television and streaming media worldwide.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Extensive experience with C/C++ and Embedded Linux development
- Experience with Roku SceneGraph, Python, JavaScript, BrightScript, or similar languages
- Knowledge of HTTPS, Websocket, JSON, XML, and YAML
- A proven track record of designing and shipping high-quality software on an embedded platform
Our ideal candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills, consumer electronics experience, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
