Building Maintenance Manager

As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the inside and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of our residential properties meet the highest standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspect and maintain all buildings, grounds, and amenities to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  2. Perform routine and minor maintenance tasks on equipment and tools to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Conduct regular community inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns and communicate them to the team.
  4. Organise and manage the day-to-day distribution of tasks and jobs to the team.
  5. Train and supervise the maintenance team and complete performance reviews.

Requirements

  1. Have demonstrable experience in property management maintenance or equivalent experience.
  2. Hold a comprehensive understanding of building maintenance and health and safety regulations.
  3. Be fully aware of statutory and legal requirements and have demonstrable experience in ensuring full compliance.
  4. Hold an IOSH certificate (preferred).
  5. Be IT savvy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, Building Management Systems, and Customer Relation Management systems.
  6. Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and team members.
  7. Be a motivational leader who drives their team to success.
