Job Title: Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

 

Role Summary:

London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the trust's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage routine OMFS patients and operate independently or within reduced supervision
  • Work as a member of the first tier of the OMFS team, supported by second and third on-calls who are all medically and dentally qualified
  • Collaborate with other practitioners as agreed to be appropriate with the OMFS Clinical Lead
  • Deputise for absent colleagues from time to time
  • Perform additional duties in exceptional circumstances

 

Person Specification:

Qualification & Skill:

Essential Criteria:

  • Full registration with GMC or GDC
  • Fellowship in Dental Surgery or membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent

Skills & Ability:

Essential Criteria:

  • Be able to manage routine OMFS patients and operate independently or within reduced supervision

Desirable Criteria:

  • Training in data analysis
