About the Role

At Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Community Nursery Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to families in the community.

Job Overview

As a Community Nursery Nurse, you will be working closely with families in Hounslow, providing health promoting information and streamlining referrals into the Health Visitor service. You will be part of a skilled mix team, contributing to the delivery of the national 0-5 years Healthy Child programme across Hounslow.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing evidence-based health advice to families, including coping with a crying baby, promoting healthy sleep patterns, and infant feeding.
  • Liaising with multi-agencies, including Social Care, GPs, Early Years, and Family Hub colleagues.
  • Working with families to address issues related to behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and speech and communication.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of health programmes and services for children and families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A NCFE CACHE Level 3 diploma in Child Care and Education, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, as well as experience of working as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with children, young people, parents, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and recognize own limitations.
  • Experience of working with computerized IT systems.
