We are proud to partner with a large National Plant company in Middlesbrough, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Assistant to join their finance team.

Job Description

As a Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with various tasks, including:

  • Assisting with monthly account preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Posting receipts, payments, and nominal transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining and reconciling hire purchase schedules, loan accounts, and other financial records.
  • Uploading sales data and reconciling from Syrinx, providing regular reports to management.
  • Preparing and submitting sales reporting, intercompany recharge invoicing, and other financial documents as required.
  • Assisting with Accounts Payable, including new supplier setup and bank verification.
  • Processing employee expenses and credit card postings, maintaining accurate records.
  • Producing weekly debtors reporting and assisting with Credit Control.
  • Collating monthly payroll data and contributing to system and process development.

Requirements

  • Similar role experience, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Part-qualified, HNC, HND, or AAT qualification desirable.
  • Excellent numeracy and administration skills, with confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £33,000 + Fixed Bonus, with a range of benefits including opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
