Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a full-time agency basis. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customer premises in accordance with customer and site procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks as per company works instructions
  • Deliveries at customer premises in accordance with customer and site procedures
  • Off-loading at sites, involving some manual handling in accordance with site operating instructions
  • Long haul HGV driving, with the possibility of night driving
  • Contracted 50 hour working week, with overtime often available and sometimes required
  • Working at controlled DC Sites
  • Flexible in driving other types of vehicles as required
  • Comply with road transport and Tachograph regulations
  • Meet driver performance standards
  • Manual work, moving cages and unloading your trailer
Requirements
  • Must hold an LGV Class 1 C+E License (6 months minimum)
  • Driver CPC
  • Sound knowledge of Drivers hours and Tachograph regulations
  • Must have experience driving articulated vehicles (new passed drivers are accepted subject to enhanced assessment)
  • Must be committed to providing excellent customer service
