Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Cambridge and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting health and safety checks, machine maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.

About the Job:

This is a permanent role that requires a full driving license and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will be working with high-spec CNC machines and will have the opportunity to work with various sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Power generation, Motorsport, Oil and gas, Medical, Automotive, and many other Precision engineering manufacturers.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for this role is circa £33,000 + company van + Bonus (circa £3300) + pension + lunch allowance + breakfast allowance if early start + loads of training + fully expensed company vehicle. In addition, you will receive 25 days holiday + bank holidays + lots of other perks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need experience running CNC Milling Machines, setting and operating 4 or 5 axis high speed machines, and conducting health and safety checks. A fully expensed van and tools are supplied, but you will need to use your own transport to travel between clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Making Health & Safety Checks
  2. Check Machine Guarding
  3. Check Door Interlocks
  4. Check all Emergency Stops work OK
  5. Check for any damage to switches
  6. Check Condition of Vision Panel
  7. Check rail wiper condition
  8. Adjust Gibs
  9. Check axis drive belts/couplings and clean motor fans
  10. Check all axis ballscrews
  11. Discover if there are any taper issues on the spindle
  12. Check rotation of spindle and belt tension
  13. Check turret brake discs and pads
  14. Check main drive belts
  15. Check Hydraulic Oil Condition and Level
  16. Check for Pneumatic Leaks
  17. Check Batteries
  18. Check rotary switches
  19. Check for leaks
