Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Operator (Nights) to join our team at Yodel. As a key member of our Transport team, you will be responsible for ensuring delivery schedules are achieved and managing various administrative and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor planned schedules for the Transport team and escalate any issues to ensure we operate within agreed service levels.
  • Use our Transport Systems to assist with trailer allocation and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor the working time directive 48hr average and support the team in reviewing and reporting on driving infringements.
  • Check on the arrival and departures of our vehicles to ensure we are setting out on time and meeting our SLA's.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as keeping driver records up to date, including driving license expiry dates and training records.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Operator or Admin role, ideally in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage workload.
  • Confidence in working with various IT Systems, particularly data in Excel.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with drivers and managers alike.
  • Knowledge of driver's hours and working time regulations (training will be provided).
