About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People. As a key member of our Neurorehabilitation Service, you will be responsible for leading our Occupational Therapy team and providing high-quality care to individuals with acquired brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring a collaborative and professional environment.
- Oversee daily OT operations, ensuring timely treatment and discharge planning for clients.
- Independently assess and treat clients with neurological injuries, developing rehabilitation and discharge plans.
- Support team quality, manage your own caseload, and monitor client progress for optimal recovery.
- Provide OT interventions, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and complete necessary documentation.
- Prepare reports, conduct home visits, and ensure team safety in lone working scenarios.
- Collaborate on service development and manage junior staff, participating in CPD and incident investigations.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Health and Care Professional Council registration
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Evidence of relevant CPD
- Member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists or equivalent
- Evidence of appropriate post-graduate training
Experience:
- Recent relevant experience of adults with acquired brain injury
- Working in a team
- A minimum of 5 years post-graduate with at least 2 years in neuroscience
- Organising Occupational Therapy input into a relevant, specific clinical unit and contributing to the general running of an Occupational Therapy department
- Supervision of Occupational Therapists, students and assistants
- Evidence of teaching / sharing knowledge with colleagues
- Understanding of professional development issues
- Evaluation of Clinical practice
