Procurement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer/Buyer to join our Indirect Procurement Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the placement of low-value Purchase Orders and maintaining these orders in accordance with Procurement procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving requisitions and demands, negotiating with suppliers, and processing Purchase Orders and Purchase Order amendments in accordance with Procurement processes and procedures.
- Obtaining and communicating progress updates from suppliers in an effective manner and understanding when to escalate issues to more senior members of staff.
- Maintaining Supplier open order books and ensuring that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system.
- Processing supplier returns, ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner.
- Supporting other members of the Procurement Team as required in their daily responsibilities.
- Previous administrator/coordinator experience.
- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Effective communicator and able to manage stakeholder relationships.
- GCSEs (A-C – 5-9) in Maths and English.
