Job Summary:
Rocket Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and maintenance of our school site. You will perform a variety of tasks, including minor maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring all routines and procedures are carried out effectively.

Duties:
  • Maintain the site to ensure it is safe, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and report any significant repairs.
  • Inspect and clear drains, gullies, and external areas.
  • Operate and monitor the heating system and ensure a consistent supply of hot water.
  • Carry out frost and snow precautions and respond to emergencies (e.g., fire, flood).

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm; Friday: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (37 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break daily). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

The estimated salary for this position is around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
