About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an exceptional Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Aspen Clinic. As a Specialist or Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist assessment, analysis, and treatment of occupational dysfunction, enabling individuals to do the things they want, need, or are expected to do to support them being well in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a caseload and utilise effective clinical decision-making and clinical skills to assess, implement, and evaluate care
  • Complete full assessments of patients' occupational performance, including areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure
  • Implement specialist group and individual treatments to achieve therapeutic goals
  • Complete all necessary clinical documentation in accordance with the company and professional standards
  • Be a source of professional advice relating to Occupational Therapy, to provide advice to individuals in our care, to carers, and colleagues as appropriate
  • Deliver an occupational-focused service, providing evidence-based practice with recognised measurable outcomes to evaluate the value and impact of occupational therapy
  • Formulate and lead on the achievement of setting specific objectives, such as in-service development plans
  • Support/lead the supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants and Occupational Therapists, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, reporting relevant issues to Service Manager and Senior OT, including sickness monitoring and time management

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a mental health setting
  • Awareness and understanding of working with service users with a diagnosis of personality disorder
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills, good organisational skills, and a positive attitude
  • An Occupational Therapy degree and registration with HCPC
