We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Safety Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis.
About the RoleAs a Fire Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for managing and implementing regular fire safety audits on an annual basis and risk assessments for all departments in accordance with the RRO. You will also assist with both short and long-term fire management planning, procurement strategies for the Trust that are ongoing and related to the 1 and 5-year strategic development plans.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake, record, and report fire risk assessments.
- Provide expert advice on fire legislation.
- Provide expert technical advice on the application and interpretation of fire safety guidance, including DH's Firecode.
- Assist with the review of the content of the Trust's fire safety policy.
- Assist with the development and delivery of a suitable and sufficient training programme for staff.
- Assess fire risks within premises owned, occupied, or under the control of the Trust.
- Prepare fire prevention and emergency action plans.
- Investigate all fire-related incidents and fire alarm actuations.
- Liaise with managers and staff on fire safety issues.
- Liaise with the Authorising Engineer (Fire).
