Job Summary
The Advocate Group is seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply Chain Planner to join our team. As a key member of our EMEA events team, you will be responsible for creating material plans, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement material plans to ensure the necessary supplies, ingredients, and packaging are available for production.
- Coordinate with the Customer Services Team to meet sales order requirements for kit deliveries.
- Monitor raw material and packaging stock levels to ensure they are at optimal levels.
- Develop and implement inventory controls to prevent excess or outdated stock and ensure adequate supplies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain a positive relationship.
- Review supplier performance and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Work closely with the finished goods and NPD teams to refine supplier forecasts.
- Use forecasting tools and past data to fine-tune demand projections.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes within the supply chain, such as simplifying procurement and reducing lead times.
- Apply best practices in planning and support cost-saving efforts.
- Analyze production, inventory, and supplier data to make informed decisions and prepare reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, purchases, and production schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MRP Planner or in a similar supply planning role within the FMCG industry.
- Comfortable using MRP/ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in using demand forecasting tools and processes and working within an S&OP framework.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for interpreting data to guide decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and plants.
- Detail-oriented and focused on accuracy when handling daily planning tasks and resolving issues.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changing priorities and managing a complex portfolio.
