Executive Chef Opportunity

Are you an experienced chef looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking an Executive Chef to join our team in the Catering department at University Hospital Wishaw.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the catering services, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is run efficiently and safely.

As an Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of chefs and support staff to deliver high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.

We offer a competitive salary, with an estimated annual salary of £32,000 - £45,000, depending on experience. This is a permanent part-time position, with a flexible working pattern of 34.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

As an Executive Chef, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Leading a team of chefs and support staff to deliver high-quality meals
  • Ensuring that the kitchen is run efficiently and safely, with a focus on food hygiene and safety
  • Working closely with the Catering Manager to achieve business objectives and improve patient satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a chef, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and improving patient satisfaction
