Job Description

ConvaTec is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Advanced Woundcare team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Conduct quality audits, investigations, and root cause analyses to identify and address quality issues.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and training materials.

  • Provide training and support to cross-functional teams on quality-related topics.

  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including process improvements and cost reduction projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry trends.

  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820.

  • Knowledge of statistical process control and quality tools, such as Minitab and Six Sigma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

  • Experience with process validation and design control.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

  • Experience with supplier quality management and auditing.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for advanced woundcare products.
