Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production and dispatch of customer orders while maintaining adherence to health and safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment to unpack and organize stock with accuracy.
  • Fulfill all orders to the highest standard, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Unload deliveries and maintain accurate stock records, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
  • Prepare wholesale orders for delivery in cooperation with the wholesale team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Pick and scan orders accurately using RF guns, minimizing missed sales and losses.
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy, ensuring general maintenance of the warehouse floor and adhering to company standards.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in approach to work, responding to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ensure adequate supply of products in pick locations by building and packing out pick locations, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Promptly communicate any stock issues to the Stock Department for quick resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Meet team targets and ensure all procedures are followed, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Report any concerns to the Warehouse Manager, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift and move stock as required.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with a strong sense of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated use of continuous improvement techniques, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to perform well under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
Desirable Criteria:
  • NVQ in Warehouse Management, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Experience using voice picking units, with a strong understanding of RF scanning technology.
