New Forest District Council is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Economic Development Officer to join our team and support the delivery of our economic development strategy.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the New Forest economy. As an Economic Development Officer, you will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and development, and to develop strategies to support the delivery of these initiatives.
You will have a strong understanding of economic development principles and practices, and be able to apply this knowledge to support the delivery of our economic development strategy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will need to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement economic development strategies for the district, including supporting economic initiatives at both a local and sub-regional level.
- Work closely with local businesses and stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to support the delivery of economic development initiatives.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
We offer a competitive salary of £38,928 - £41,895 per annum (up to £43,093 for exceptional performance once in post), plus a range of benefits including:
